Our Team
Dr Michael Stott
Dr Mike Stott attended Massey University in New Zealand and was during that time he first visited a chiropractor over 30 years ago. He had tried everything to alleviate lower back pain and leg pain he'd put up with since school, and it was not until he discovered chiropractic treatment that he could find any relief.
Michael fell in love with the chiropractic philosophy and decided to become a chiropractor.
He then undertook further education and obtained his Doctor of Chiropractic at one of the world's most prestigious chiropractic colleges, Palmer College. Palmer College is an American institution established by the founder of chiropractic, DD Palmer. Dr Stott graduated with high honours 1977.
Dr Stott had a chiropractic practice for 10 years in Auckland, New Zealand, before moving to Brisbane, Queensland in Australia. Stott Chiropractic Clinic has been welcoming patients since July 1987. The practice has moved locations a number of times.
Now, the ultimate location has been found at 631 Seventeen Mile Rocks Road, Seventeen Mile Rocks, with room for the facilities that fulfil Dr Stott's ambitions to create a truly holisitic health centre.
Dr Ben Tate
Ben attended the University
of New South Wales, where
he studied anatomy and physiology. His career in chiropractic began after
seeking help following persistent bouts of low back pain when playing cricket. It
was during this care that his attention shifted to becoming a chiropractor.
He
found that the philosophies of chiropractic matched those that he has about his
own health, namely life long health with an emphasis on prevention rather than
cure and most importantly that the body has the ability to heal itself.
He is
passionate about helping all patients reach their full potential through
chiropractic.Ben completed his postgraduate studies at Macquarie University in Sydney and wanted to practice here in the sunshine state. He uses various techniques including manual adjusting, activator, and drop piece as well as rehabilitation plans for each patient.
